Consultation on Longmarsh Green Energy opened on October 15 and runs until November 26, 2026. The project website describes proposed solar generation, battery storage and a co-located data-centre campus in west Norfolk, England.
The developer identifies a western site north-east of Tilney St Lawrence and an eastern site near Fincham and Barton Bendish. Its indicative boundary includes cable routes connecting parts of the proposal.
The scheme would connect to the existing transmission substation at Walpole. The Planning Inspectorate names EPL Norfolk Limited as the applicant and lists solar arrays, battery units, an integrated data-centre campus and associated infrastructure.
The developer says the proposed data centre would use closed-loop cooling, recirculating liquid after the system is filled. It also says the campus would take renewable power directly from the solar farm. Those are design proposals, not independently verified operating results.
The official project register places Longmarsh at the pre-application stage, with an application expected in April 2027. That expectation is not an accepted application, planning consent, construction start or operating date. Feedback and further technical work are intended to shape the plans before a Development Consent Order application. This consultation does not establish final capacity, investment, grid savings or bill reductions; those should be checked against later application documents.
