The U.S. Energy Information Administration said in its August 12, 2026 Today in Energy analysis that it forecasts U.S. marketed natural-gas production to average 122.5 billion cubic feet per day in 2026. EIA said that would exceed the previous record of 118.5 billion cubic feet per day set in 2025.
