Actis acquires one Polish battery project and signs for a second, totaling 244 MW

The October 6 announcement distinguishes the acquired Kozienice asset from Trzebinia, whose transaction is expected to complete after it becomes operational. Financial terms are undisclosed.

Actis announced on October 6 that it is acquiring two battery energy storage projects from DRI in Poland. The portfolio totals 244 megawatts of power capacity and 1,141 megawatt-hours of energy storage. These describe different properties: delivery power and stored energy, not annual electricity production.

The 112 MW, 518 MWh Kozienice project has already been acquired and is ready for construction, according to both companies. Ready for construction does not mean that the battery is operating or supplying the grid.

The second project, in Trzebinia, has 132 MW of power capacity and 623 MWh of storage. That transaction is signed and expected to complete once the project becomes operational. It is not a second completed acquisition today.

Actis says both assets have a secured revenue base through a 17-year inflation-indexed capacity market contract. That is the company's description of contracted revenue support, not a guarantee of investment returns or full operating profitability.

DRI published its own announcement on October 5 and confirms the separate transaction stages. Neither company is disclosing the financial terms. The releases do not establish a purchase price or a household bill saving.

Limits: this is an ownership and development announcement, not an independent operating-performance assessment. Storage can shift electricity between periods, but these releases do not quantify emissions reductions, consumer savings or actual dispatched electricity from either project.
